In-home sessions allow your family to stay settled in your own space, where I gently document the connection, emotion, and quiet beauty of these first days. For families who prefer a simplified setting, my Northern Virginia studio offers a soft, neutral environment that keeps the focus on your baby and your connection together.


You don’t need to have everything figured out. From what to wear to how your session flows, every detail is thoughtfully guided so your experience feels calm, seamless, and fully taken care of from start to finish.


Whether we’re in your home or in the studio, every session is baby-led, unhurried, and centered around your connection. Nothing is forced and nothing feels rushed, allowing genuine moments to unfold naturally.


With over a decade of experience as a Northern Virginia and Washington, DC newborn photographer, I’ve learned how to create space for real moments while still offering gentle direction when needed. My approach is calm and intuitive, with no stiff posing and no pressure for perfection. Instead, I guide you in a way that results in images that feel both natural and beautifully refined.


Many of the families I work with continue beyond the newborn stage, from maternity through the seasons of growing children, creating a cohesive, meaningful collection of photographs that tells the story of your family over time.

Hi, I'm Jessica.
My love for children began in the classroom as a Montessori teacher, where I learned to slow down and see beauty in the smallest moments. When my daughter was born 12 years ago, photography became my way of preserving every fleeting detail of her life. Today, I am inspired by love, connection, and light, and my goal is to create timeless, beautiful images that feel effortless, natural, and deeply connection-filled.

A Calm, Baby-Led Newborn Experience

As your DC Newborn Photographer, I make sure that your newborn session is not rushed and there is no expectation for your baby to perform. We pause for feeding, cuddling and settling as needed while I gently guide you into natural interaction. I use simple wraps, natural light and the spaces you already live in so your images feel true to this season of life. You don’t have to worry about everything going perfectly. I gently guide you so the moments that matter most can unfold naturally.


The goal is to remember how it felt to bring your baby home. Along the way I am always paying attention to light, composition and small details so your images feel both honest and beautifully finished. I also make sure to prepare you beforehand so that you're well prepared for what to expect.
