Lifestyle Newborn Session in Alexandria, Virginia

As a Washington DC Newborn Photographer, I get to work with so many wonderful families in the DC area during some of the most important seasons of their lives. It makes me so happy to be able to provide images for families that they can cherish for the rest of their lives & pass down through generations.

Having newborn sessions in your home is so special in so many ways. The images of you sitting in the chair where you rock your baby to sleep every night, the crib where your child will sleep in a few short months. Your sweet dog cozied up to your side while you cuddle on your couch, the same couch you spent hours on binging Netflix & eating ice cream when you were pregnant. The cozy blanket that you wrap yourself up in every night. The gorgeous nursery that you spent months decorating & the images above the crib that you spent an hour trying to align just right. It truly is the perfect, yet imperfect back drop for a beautiful session.

I'm delighted to share this Alexandria, Virginia Newborn session with you. Baby Wesley was already a month old at our session. I typically photograph babies when their very sleepy at 7-12 days old but this stage was so much fun as babe was alert and enjoyed every minute of snuggling with his parents.

This couple had decorated their home so beautifully & they had large windows all around. It was so lovely & an honor to be in this space & capture this season for them. I also loved what they wore for their session. A neutral space & neutral clothing choices compliment my aesthetic well.
