CAPITOL HILL NEWBORN SESSION | WASHINGTON, DC

I had such a wonderful time with this beautiful family for their daughter's newborn session on Capitol Hill. They heard about me through a friend who has been a client of mine for over three years. Their gorgeous row home was minimal, modern and filled with natural light, literally a photographer's dream.

At eight days new, Baby Eloise slept through most of our newborn session as she was cuddled and loved on by every member of her family. We started our session in their family room and then made our way to the kitchen and then upstairs to her nursery and also got some fun cuddling, playful shots on mom and dad's bed.

The boys were engaged and having fun for the entirety of our session. I have two children of my own and was a Montessori preschool teacher before I was a photographer, so I have more than a few tricks up my sleeve to keep kids engaged and having fun throughout my sessions. My goal is always to make my client’s feel as comfortable as possible in front of my camera, while capturing beautiful images filled with emotion and joy. And I feel that this session was a reflection of that. These parents did a wonderful job remaining calm and relaxed throughout our session and just couldn't get enough of sweet baby Eloise and her big brothers. I'm so glad that Marita and Jared chose me to be their DC newborn photographer. I hope you enjoy this beautiful Capitol Hill newborn session as much as they did.
